About Me
When anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and behavioral patterns overlap and reinforce each other, the path forward can feel unclear. I specialize in helping clients in Ohio and Minnesota navigate these complex presentations—particularly when previous treatment hasn't provided the clarity or relief they expected.
Before becoming a therapist, I conducted research on emotion regulation, shame, and addiction—work that continues to inform my clinical approach. I have extensive experience supporting individuals in recovery from substance use, and I'm drawn to cases that don't fit neatly into a single diagnostic category or treatment protocol.
My approach integrates evidence-based methods—Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)/I-CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS)/parts work, with a focus on understanding the whole picture. The goal is fundamentally changing your relationship with distressing thoughts and emotions so they no longer dictate your choices.
This work is about helping you step out of mental loops that consume time and energy, reclaiming your attention for what brings genuine meaning to your life.
Outside the office, I prioritize those same meaningful things: time with my family and clearing my head on the disc golf course. I also believe the process of change shouldn't be opaque. Through my writing, I work to make evidence-based psychological principles accessible to anyone interested in understanding how recovery actually happens.
